A busy time of year

Well, I did intend to post a little more frequently. But I find myself roaming the surrounding counties visiting many friends and family. I have taken many pictures, been in my share, and received numerous wonderful gifts.

As for art, I find myself drawing more at the moment, fewer digital works have been produced. I'm working on the "pin-up" figure, which does require a bit of practice. I have been drawing for more than twenty years at this point, but I am still in need of bringing my skills back to a level they were once at. Which essentially means, draw at every opportunity.

Here are a few of the friends and family that I saw over the past week.

Already I slow at posting...

I've barely been at this two weeks, and I'm already waining on my promise of at least every other day. I am trying to produce more work, even got in a few decent sketches yesterday. But I've been up at 2:15am most of the week, which for those of you who know, is about when I would GO to bed. My body is a bit out-o-whack. I can expect much of the same next week, and ad in a few holiday trips and meals and call me a well fed zombie. I will try my best to remain in the living[Wink]. Here's to Friday off, and a sleeping in I will go...

On the move...

Well it seems the itchy feet to move is going around. Friends of mine have recently moved to New Lenox. April & I are trying to find an alternative to apartment life. Preferably the home kind.

In getting ready for the Holidays, I spent some time at the townhouse with mom to get things decorated. I even changed two light fixtures that have been a pain since we moved in, as well as upgraded the hardwired smoke detectors to smoke/CO detectors.

Now what you really came for... ART!

Wow, what a busy week. I've worked a lot of up early, get to bed late hours this week. I don't remember doing this in college when I could get through it easier. Oh well. Though I haven't produced anything new this week, I will put up a few that were done in the past few, enjoy.

Fun with Radio City

I've generated a few images based on a photo I took of Radio City Music Hall. Please comment on which of the three captures your interest the most.

Trip to New York

Well, our trip to New York was fun. We got to see the town together the first day, which involved a lot of walking. I took many pictures. The second day, April went to her conference, and I walked even more, taking even more pictures. The weather was wonderful for the end of November, and it caught up with us for the return trip. Our flight got cancelled, and we bounced to a few flights before getting home very late Wednesday night. Many of the trips pictures can be viewed here...

Many thanks to Garrett for snapping this still frame of us in front of "Hello Deli" from the "Late Show".

Monday, and a change in the work scheduling

Well, we seem to be plugging along so well at the new location, that staying till 1am will no longer be happening. Midnight it is. So I get to saunter in an hour earlier if I want to keep my hours, oh well.

I added another piece of permanent art [like the windmill] to the bottom of the page. I like Tikis. I've been know to be found in places like Hala Kahiki, or Trader Vic's [still waiting for the new location].

I am working my art skills back to a level to make pin-up style Tiki works, but as yet have not produced any finished work, just sketches.

An Abandoned Walk

April & I went for a walk along an essentially 'abandoned' stretch of elevated railway owned by the Canadian Pacific. It is slated to become a trail in the near future. We can't wait.
Pictures of it's current condition...

Pending Travels

New York is on the horizon. We are traveling for more April reasons than Brian reasons. I get to take in the sights a little more than april will. I'm looking forward to having some great pics to post after the trip.

Here's to Tuesday morning!

More Manipulated work...

Buckaroo's Blog has arrived!

Welcome to the blog. With any luck this will become a post, a.k.a. Bazaar, for the many varied visual arts that I produce, as well as a point at which I can inform others about what's going on in and around my life.

Smile,
Buckaroo
